Endolift Facelifts
Endolift® is our latest addition at our MEDfacials clinic in Cornwall. We are the only clinic in Cornwall to provide this fantastic non-surgical facelift treatment.
What is Endolift®
Endolift® is a minimally invasive laser-based treatment that an innovative laser which certified and approved by the US FDA, to stimulate both deep and superficial layers of the skin. The wavelength of the laser LASEmaR® 1500 is specifically designed to selectively hit two of the main targets of the human body: water and fat.
This process tightens and retracts the connective septum, activating the skin’s production of new collagen and the metabolic functions in the skin cells. But there is more to Endolift®, as it can also be utilised to reduce excessive fat when necessary, from both the face and the body.
The laser-induced selective heat has the power to melt stubborn fat, which spills from the microscopic entry holes in the treated area, and simultaneously causes immediate skin retraction. As a result, skin laxity is reduced, and the skin will look tighten and immediately lifted.

How does the Endolift work?
The Endolift® treatment does not require any incisions or general anaesthetic and can take place at MEDfacials in Dr Stolte’s clinic as it has no downtime.
Wit the help of single-use micro-optical fibers, which are a bit thinner than a hair, the optical fibres are easily inserted under the skin directly superficially creating a micro-tunnel orientated along the anti-gravitational vectors of your skin laxity in the face or body.
While passing through the dermis, these micro-optical fibres act like an light path and transmit laser energy, offering immediate visible results. The patient may perceive only a slight discomfort due to the laser energy creating micro-tunnels oriented along the anti-gravitational vectors, which grant an immediate and visible lifting effect.
Right after the treatment, the fibres (which are of different calibers depending on the area to treat) are removed and disposed off.
Results and aftercare
Results are both immediate and long-term. The area will continue to improve for several months following the Endolift® procedure, as additional collagen builds in the deep layers of the skin over time. The best moment when to appreciate the results achieved is normally after 6 months.
How many treatments do I need?
One single treatment is normally enough to see results. In case of incomplete results, it can be repeated for a second time within the first 12 months.
As with all procedures in aesthetic medicine, the response and the duration of the effect depends on the previous medical conditions of the specific patient: age, state of health, gender etc. can all influence the outcome and how successful a procedure can be. If necessary, Endolift® can be repeated with no collateral effects.
Side effects and contraindications
Endolift® does not cause any kind of pain which normally would be more associated with incisions and sutures after thread lifts or surgical face lifts.
It involves minimal to no downtime and it does not have the pain or recovery time that is associated with surgical procedures. Patients can return to work and normal activity within a few hours. There are no known contraindications to Endolift®.
However, just to be safe, we do not recommend Endolift® if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding. Dr Stolte will discuss these topics in-depth during the initial consultation.
Unveil your refined, youthful beauty with the non-surgical treatment of Endolift. Dr Joe Stolte, Medical Aesthetic Specialist Doctor, offers this cutting-edge treatment that tightens and lifts loose skin, resulting in a more refined and elegant appearance.
Additional Information
What is Endolift?
Endolift is a minimally invasive laser-based treatment manufactured by leading laser experts Eufoton®, and utilises the LASEmaR® 1500 device. It is a certified and FDA-approved laser treatment, designed to stimulate the deep layers of the skin.
How does Endolift work?
The wavelength of LASEmaR® 1500 is specifically designed to selectively target the two main components in the human body: water and fat. Firstly, laser energy is administered via an ultra-thin fibreoptic wire passed under the skin just like a needle, with no incisions required. In result, this process tightens the skin and activates the skin’s production of new collagen to create a firmer, softer skin appearance . Additionally, Endolift can be used to target facial fat melting where necessary to create a slimmer, lighter lower face appearance.
What are the benefits of Endolift Treatment?
The combination of skin tightening, texture improvement and selective fat reduction creates a remarkable lifted, contoured and toned effect to the mid and lower face.
What areas can be treated?
Most of our patients undergo ‘full face’ Endolift treatment, which includes treatment of the cheeks, jawline, jowls, under chin and upper neck. However, some patients who are only concerned with reducing fullness related to fat volume under the chin can opt for a targeted under-chin treatment only. Additionally, Endolift can be used to treat puffiness in the under eye malar region, commonly refered to as ‘malar bags’ or ‘festoons’. We also offer Endolift body treatments, specifically abdominal and knee skin tightening.
What is the downtime?
Immediately after treatment, the treated areas of skin will appear red and irregular. And Skin redness usually resolves the following day. Over the next 5-7 after treatment, there is gradual development of swelling. This is expected and normal, and usually peaks at day 6-7 in most patients. By the end of two weeks post-procedure, visible swelling disappears in nearly all patients. Visit our dedicated Endolift aftercare page for further information.
How soon can I repeat the Endolift treatment?
The results of Endolift last several months to years. Generally, for an average patient, the treatment does not require repeating for 2-3 years. However, depending on facial anatomy and tissue structure, some patients with more pronounced fat volume or skin laxity may be recommended a repeat Endolift treatment after 6-12 months in order to build on their result.

What are the risks of Endolift Treatments?
All medical cosmetic treatments carry some risks and Dr Joe will discuss the specific risks related to Endolift at your consultation. However, post-procedure swelling and numbness in the treated areas is normal and expected, and gradually resolves. A very rare, but well-documented, complication involves bruising to the nerve that stimulates the muscle controlling the lower lip corners during smiling. Consequently, this can cause a temporary lower lip smile asymmetry. However, it fully resolves by 8-12 weeks in the majority of patients.
