Spring Threads
Spring Threads is our latest addition at our MEDfacials clinic in Cornwall.
What is Spring Threads?
Spring Thread® is an effective thread lift to restore the oval of the face: vertical lift, immediate effect, improved results over time and long lasting.
This French aesthetic innovation is patented and repositions tissue while retaining natural facial expressions.
Advantages of Spring Thread®
- Minimally invasive – No large incisions or general anaesthesia required.
- Immediate lifting effect – Noticeable results right after the procedure.
- Stimulates collagen production – Encourages natural skin rejuvenation over time.
- Short recovery time – Most patients resume normal activities within a few days.
- Long-lasting results – Effects typically last up to 5 years, depending on individual factors.
PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE THE TREATMENT:
It’s vital to have a consultation before the procedure.
The best candidates for a thread lifting are aged 35 to 55 and have relatively good skin tone with a little sagging. If there is too much loose skin then surgery may be the best option. There are many different types of threads for lifting available.
Spring Thread is suitable for people:
- Are experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity in the face, jawline, or neck.
- Prefer a non-surgical alternative to a traditional facelift.
- Have realistic expectations about the results.
- Are in good general health and do not have contraindications such as severe skin conditions, active infections, or blood clotting disorders.
The Procedure and Aftercare
Tissue tends to become slacker with age. Fatty tissue migrates downwards: the cheeks, temples, chin, nose and eye contour lose their volume. This is when bitterness folds and lines at the corners of the mouth appear.
By enabling tissue to be lifted and reshaped vertically, Spring Thread® tensor threads are considered as a minimally invasive alternative to facelift surgery. They are indicated in the treatment of mild to moderate ptoses. These threads with cogs are inserted into the subcutaneous fatty tissue to correct its slackness. In most cases, the procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, without hospitalisation.
The effects last for at least 3 to 5 years, and continue to improve in the months following the treatment.
